Departments - Municipal Assembly
The Central Administration Department is the Secretariat of the Municipal Assembly and it shall be responsible for the provision of support services.
They shall facilitate the preparation and execution of the budget of the Municipal Assembly.
The department is in charge of giving out building permits and also performing all duties of the town and country planning as by law established.
The Department is responsible for the sound financial management of the Municipal Assembly's resources.
They shall assist the Assembly to formulate and implement social welfare and community development policies within the framework of national policies.
This Department is a merger of public works department, feeder roads, water and sanitation unit, department of rural housing, and the Works unit of the Assembly.
They ensure the sustainable development of Agriculture in the Municipality.
The Health Sector within the Municipal level consists of the office of the municipal medical officer and the Environmental Unit.
They assist in planning and implementation of programmes to prevent and/or mitigate disasters in the Municipality within the framework of National Policies.
They ensure that Birth and Death certificates are issued to the various people in need of it.
They shall receive all information regarding the Assembly on air, through their Radio link.
They are there to facilitate the planning activities of the assembly and ensure they are well executed.
The Office is in charge of handling all National Service issues as to their registration and submission of forms and reports.
They shall facilitate the preparation and execution of all the Educational activities of the Municipal Assembly.
They are in charge of Marriage registration and documentation regarding Marriage.
They are in charge of Birth and Death registration within the municipality.
